Invoices and billing
How CookieHug issues VAT invoices for plans: billing details, VAT rates (Poland, EU, non-EU), KSeF, PDF download and updating details.
Invoices for CookieHug plans
Every paid plan payment (monthly or annual) ends with a VAT invoice issued automatically — no requests, no waiting. The invoice is e-mailed as a PDF and available in the panel under Subscription. The invoice number, PDF and KSeF number come from our accounting system, so the document in the panel and the one at our accountant's are the same.
The document from the payment provider (Stripe) that you may see under payment confirmations is not a VAT invoice — it confirms the card charge.
Billing details
We collect buyer details once, in the payment form: company name or full name, address and — for businesses — the Polish NIP or an EU VAT number (other EU countries). EU VAT numbers are validated against VIES during checkout.
- Business in Poland: enter the NIP — the invoice goes to KSeF as a B2B invoice.
- Consumer in Poland without a tax ID: the invoice is issued the same way, in your name.
- Buyer outside Poland (EU and non-EU): invoice without Polish VAT, marked “Reverse charge” — the buyer accounts for VAT in their own country.
You can change the details any time under Subscription → Manage in Stripe (payment portal). Changes apply from the next invoice — an issued invoice is never edited; if something is wrong, contact us and we will issue a correction.
VAT rates
Prices on the pricing page are gross. The rate is set automatically by the payment provider from the address country and VAT number:
| Buyer | VAT | What you pay at a 79 zł price |
|---|---|---|
| Poland (business or consumer) | 23% | 79 zł (incl. 14.77 zł VAT) |
| Other EU country | out of scope (reverse charge) | 79 zł |
| Outside the EU | out of scope (reverse charge) | 79 zł |
KSeF
Invoices for Polish businesses are sent to KSeF, the Polish National e-Invoice System. The KSeF number usually appears in the panel within minutes of issuing — until then the KSeF column shows “pending”. The PDF you receive is a visualisation of that same invoice.
Discount codes
If you have a discount code (from an e-mail, a promotion or from us), enter it in the order summary under Have a discount code? and click Apply. The discounted price shows immediately and Stripe charges the reduced amount. The VAT invoice is issued for the amount actually paid.
- A code may apply only to a specific plan or only to annual billing — with a different selection you will see what it covers.
- A one-off discount covers the first payment; a discount “for several months” or “forever” also reduces later renewals.
- Pool codes (e.g. from an e-mail campaign) work once. A code assigned to another account will not work on yours.
Download and timing
- Panel → Subscription → VAT invoices table → download icon next to the invoice.
- The invoice e-mail goes to your account address right after issuing (usually a few minutes after payment).
- Renewal invoices are issued automatically with every subsequent charge.
- No invoice an hour after payment? Contact us via Support — we will check the queue.
